Located between Blue Mountain Beach and Watercolor, Grayton Beach is unlike any other area on Scenic 30A. Not only is Grayton Beach one of the area's oldest communities, it is 30A's original beach town. The first known settler here was an Army major named Charles T. Gray around 1885, which is where the name "Grayton" originated.

Surrounded by state park, though Grayton Beach has of course grown over the years, much of it remains untouched with a lot of charm. Driving through Grayton you will see a mix of old and new beach homes, along with overgrown trees that canopy the streets. Unlike other areas on 30A Grayton has more of a rustic feel that's full of artists, fisherman, surfers, and of course vacationers.

The only beach on Walton county that allows you to drive on the beach with a permit, sets Grayton apart from the rest even more. Locals gather here for sunset cocktails on their tailgates, launch their boats here, and enjoy family gatherings tailgate style. Home to the famous Red Bar, which is right in the heart of Grayton Beach, you will find many locally owned restaurants and bars that add to the character of the town and make it truly one of a kind.

While the town is surrounded by preserve, there are still many real estate opportunities available. Whether your looking for a new construction luxury gulf front home or an older vacation home that you can fix up, Grayton Beach has it all. Contact Blake Morar today, and let him help you find your perfect piece of Grayton Beach real estate.
