Carillon Beach Gulf Front Homes
With new urbanization guiding the structure of the village, beach front access, both physically and by view plane, serves as a key component of all homes and buildings. This also dictated that all roads and sidewalks lead to the centrally located Carillon bell tower, and encourages pedestrian and bike transportation within the village.
The village plan was designed by New Orleans architect Lloyd Vogt, who is famous for combining the visions of traditional urbanism with historic preservation. While Vogt did not ascribe a particular historical period or place to the architecture, the design code seeks to create buildings that fit in with the area’s geography and climate.
