Always make sure to plan, plan, plan! As soon as spring break season starts, thousands of people are coming and going into Santa Rosa Beach. With Saturday being the typical check in day, that means one thing, traffic. Contact your vacation rental company to see if you can have an early or late check in to avoid sitting in traffic when you could be spending time on the beach!
- Beach it Up
Tips for beaching it up; get there early and pack a good beach bag. The beaches can get very crowded so if you want a front row spot, set up camp before 11. Pack up the sunscreen, a tent or umbrella for shade, towels—of course, a wireless speaker to jam out to, snacks—obviously, lots of water and a stiff margarita.

Snorkeling? Parasailing? Boat Tours? Dinner Date? Save yourself some time and plan ahead! Make reservations and schedule these events prior to the day of so vendors and restaurants are not all booked up and you don’t have to wait an hour to eat dinner.
- Everyone Loves a Happy Hour
What better way to end a long day on the beach than with a cocktail and some bar snacks? All of the hot spots from Destin to 30A have tons of terrific happy hours. Half priced cocktails, beer specials and appetizer discounts is not a bad way to spend your vacay.
- Check Out All the Events
While you’re visiting, take advantage of all the events going on in the area. There is live music almost every night, free movies screened at the Seaside amphitheater, plays at the REP Theater and occasionally food and wine festivals.
